Terms & Conditions

Effective May 13, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of preservationco.com and any purchase, custom-door request, consultation, email, or SMS message from Preservation Co (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

About our products

We sell reclaimed and restored architectural pieces — most are one-of-a-kind, with the patina, marks, and imperfections that make antiques what they are. Photographs and descriptions are an honest representation, but minor variation is part of the category. Dimensions are measured by hand and rounded; final dimensions can vary slightly. We are happy to send additional photos before purchase — just ask.

Pricing and availability

Prices are in US dollars and subject to change. Because most pieces are unique, an item shown as available may sell before your order is placed. We do our best to keep inventory accurate; if a piece is sold before your order is processed, we will contact you and refund any charge in full.

Customization services and quoted custom-door builds are separate from in-stock pricing and may require partial payment up front. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer; the order is accepted when we charge your card. Payment is processed by Stax Payments; Preservation Co never sees or stores your full card number. For larger custom projects we may collect a deposit and invoice the balance at completion.

Sales tax is collected on all orders at a flat 9% rate applied to merchandise. Shipping is not taxed.

Shipping

Our shipping rates, lead times, and freight handling are covered in our Shipping Policy. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the freight carrier takes possession.

Returns

Return windows and conditions are covered in our Refund Policy. Custom work, restored doors built to your specifications, and items modified at your request are non-refundable.

SMS messaging

When you provide your mobile number to us at checkout, on a custom-door request, or via our website, you consent to receive text messages from Preservation Co relating to your order, custom-build project, or inquiry. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We will send a single confirmation message after a STOP request and will not send further messages to that number. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle mobile information.

We do not share mobile phone numbers, opt-in records, or message content with third parties for marketing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage the Services or interfere with another customer’s use.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy product images and descriptions for resale or for use by competing businesses.
  • Attempt to access portions of the dashboard or any customer’s account that you are not authorized to access.

Intellectual property

All site content — photographs, descriptions, the “Preservation Co” name and logo, and the look and feel of the site — is owned by Preservation Co or licensed to us. You may share product photos for personal, non-commercial use; please credit and link back.

Warranties and disclaimer

Antique and reclaimed items are sold “as is” with the character of their age. We will describe known issues honestly, but we do not warrant that any antique piece is free of all imperfection. Restored doors come with our workmanship behind them; we will repair any defect in our restoration work for a period of 90 days after delivery at no cost to you. Aside from this, the Services and products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Preservation Co and its principals are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services or any product. Our total liability for any claim arising out of an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that the parties cannot resolve directly will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Alabama, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
